Passion for Reverse Engineering - £18-26k p.a. + bonus + benefits - Oxfordshire Virus analyst with experience in Reverse Engineering is required by leading software company. The mission is to take apart new viruses, reverse engineering the code to determine precisely what the virus does and writing a detailed analysis of it, covering its payload and method of spreading. In addition, you will write identities that detect viruses. The role also entails carrying out research into different aspects of viruses. This part of the role puts you at the forefront of research into viruses, requiring the confidence to face the challenge of working everything out for yourself. Further responsibility lies in the specification and development of in-house tools and systems to be used in the analysis of viruses. Several different languages and systems are used for these tools, requiring strong programming skills and a good understanding of computer systems, networks and components. You must have the ability to reverse engineer code and have some experience of programming. You will demand excellence of yourself and in all that you do. Some experience with 80x86, 68000 assembler is required as is familiarity with disassemblers and debuggers.
